its a great topic. studies have shown that all students improve in an inclusive setting
If is done right…there are only pros. The problem is…that building a school around students strengths rather than deficits is rare. It seems like more and more school districts are at least trying to implement inclusive practices but we are way behind on the curve. When schools do not give the required supports to facilitate inclusion…then that become problematic and does not work for anybody. This is a major “con” but it does not have to be that way.
could not agree more, tim! there are only pros to #inclusion. we all have different strengths and varying levels of support at different times in our lives
