I got my autistic diagnosis by a specialist at Yorkhill in Glasgow in mid 1997 where I got my ADHD diagnosis two years later in mid 1999. I am very able and expressive in my autism. Autism is a condition which will stay with me all my life. It is five to six times more common in boys than in girls, although when girls have autism, they are usually more severely disabled while boys with it are often more able.
